The Limits Of The Urban: Inhabitating SoriA
SPRING 2020
We travel to Soria, a city paradigm of what is known as “The Wallowing of the Emptied.”
The goal is to put on the game board the need for climate change in the territory model and correct the degradation by obsolete and decompensated models focusing on territorial, cultural, and economic perspectives. The project takes place on the eastern edge of Soria, Spain, on the banks of the Duero River, between the hill of a castle and the hill of the Miró Hotel. The objective is to focus on the limits of the urban and the concept of inhabiting the city.
The objective of this exercise is to develop a new solution type of housing. We developed a residential project combining a residence building for students or seniors, a hotel, and multi-family housing.
